PDO Face Threads
PDO Face Threads
PDO face threads are a minimally invasive and effective solution for tightening the skin of the face and neck and correcting contours. COG threads provide an immediate lifting effect while simultaneously stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production, helping to achieve a more youthful and fresher appearance.
How Do PDO Threads Work?
Tightening face threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), which is a safe and biodegradable material. The threads dissolve in the skin over 3–6 months, stimulating the formation of collagen and elastic fibers. Thanks to this, natural connective tissue support develops in the skin, and the result lasts 1–2 years.
Which Areas Can Be Tightened?
- Nasolabial folds
- Lip corners
- Contour and jawline
- Cheeks
- Eyebrows
- Neck
- Under-eyes
- Lip contour
- Nose
Who Are PDO Face Threads Suitable For?
- For women and men
- From age 30
- For mild to moderate sagging of skin and subcutaneous tissues
- For those who prefer a minimally invasive procedure
- For those who want to improve facial contour and achieve a natural result
How Does the Procedure Work?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes 20–40 minutes depending on the number of threads. The threads are placed under the skin using a special cannula. The cones on the threads work on an anchor principle, allowing the creation of the necessary tension for lifting the face and correcting contours. Results are visible immediately, with the final effect developing over 6–9 months.
Eyebrow Threads
PDO threads enable effective lifting of drooping or low-set eyebrows. Usually 1–2 threads in the brow area are sufficient to achieve a visible result. For lifting the outer corner of the brow, special “fox eye” threads are used, which help open the gaze and correct tired or sad-looking eye area.
Recovery and Well-being
The procedure is well tolerated thanks to the use of local anesthesia. After the procedure, mild swelling, tenderness or discomfort may occur, which typically subside within a couple of weeks. You can return to daily activities immediately, but for 2 weeks you should avoid intensive exercise and heat treatments.
