Botulinum Injections for Hyperhidrosis

The botulinum toxin medication injected into the problem area stops the sweat gland function and sweat production stops for 4-9 months, in some cases up to 12 months. Before coming to the procedure:
– At least two weeks must pass between vaccination and the procedure
– Alcohol consumption is not recommended for at least one day before the procedure
– If you are taking medications, please inform us before coming. We recommend not taking blood-thinning medications for at least one week before the procedure (including Aspirin, Hjertemagnyl)
– Before the injection procedure, a light meal is recommended to avoid dizziness and fainting caused by low blood sugar and psychological anxiety

Aftercare Recommendations Following Botulinum Toxin Treatment
All of the following restrictions and recommendations are in your best interest, to ensure that the results of your botulinum toxin treatment are as effective and long-lasting as possible.

– Avoid saunas, solariums, and hot sun for 24 hours.
– Avoid intensive facial treatments and facial massage for 2 weeks.
– Avoid exercise for 24 hours after the procedure.
– On the day of the procedure, you may apply makeup to the injected area once the redness has subsided.
– Important! The final result of the procedure can only be assessed about 10 days afterward.
– If the injected area needs a touch-up, it should be done within 2–3 weeks after the procedure.
