Botulinum Injections
Description
The modern approach to aesthetic medicine is based on emphasizing and preserving natural beauty. During the pre-procedure consultation, the beauty specialist selects the appropriate amounts and injection sites for each individual face. The procedure itself is quick and comfortable, and the result is natural and refreshing.
Botulinum toxin, commercially known as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin, is an injection preparation that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression wrinkles. The injection is done with a thin needle directly into the target muscle. The effect develops within 3–14 days and lasts on average 3–6 months.
When is botulinum toxin recommended?
– Forehead wrinkles (horizontal lines)
– Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
– Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
– Lip wrinkles, nose and jawline correction
– Neck platysma (vertical neck bands)
– Masseter muscle reduction (jawline slimming)
– Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
The decision regarding procedure suitability is made by the Aesthetic Medicine Clinic doctor; the procedure is always preceded by a doctor’s consultation. Aesthetic medicine nurses perform injection procedures under the doctor’s supervision.
