CO2 laser
Description
CO₂ laser treatment is one of the most effective methods for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction, as it works in deeper skin layers than most other cosmetic procedures.
The CO₂ laser (carbon dioxide laser) removes the upper layers of the skin in a controlled manner while simultaneously stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. As a result, old and damaged cells are removed, and the skin begins to renew itself—gradually becoming smoother, more even, and more elastic.
The procedure is primarily used for:
• reducing fine and deep wrinkles
• alleviating sun damage
• improving scars (including acne scars)
• evening out uneven skin tone
• reducing enlarged pores
The procedure is performed using local anesthesia (numbing cream) to ensure the most comfortable experience possible. The duration is approximately 1 hour. It is recommended to take one 500 mg Paracetamol tablet before the procedure.
In most cases, the procedure is well-tolerated; the main discomfort may occur immediately after the treatment. The recovery period usually lasts 6–8 days, during which the skin heals and renews itself.
